Water or Rock

water or rock

You hear a lot about flow in the Universe. Flow of energy, flow of time, flow of prosperity, lots and lots of flow ideas. And once in a while you will hear somebody talking about being out of the flow.

Here's the thing.

The nature of the Universe is flow. Everything, everywhere is always moving, always changing, always humming with that vital flow of energy that keeps the whole world moving. You can no more be out of the flow than you can be out of the Universe.

It just can't be done.

But, you sure can make yourself feel that way. You can struggle through each of your days trying to keep your energy bottled up inside, fearing that when its gone there will nothing left for you. Letting yourself get ground down by the flow of the energy around you. Eventually, of course, you use all your stored energy up and then you have to get more.

And that getting of more energy isΒ  a whole lot easier if you have been practicing getting energy from the flow of the sea of energy around you, rather than resisting; fists doubled up into knots striving to hold onto something you view as finite.

The water in this stunning image is flowing, replenishing itself with its movement and its agreement to non-resistance. The beach on the other hand is made out of rocks, startling in their contrasting resistance.

Yes, the beach is made out of rocks, its just that the rock in the photo is the only one left. the others have already been ground down into sand.

Which path would you prefer to follow through life? Water or rock.

    Hi Michael,

beautiful analogy and great photo to ‘paint the picture’ of what your inspiring post is saying.

Going with the flow is definitely much easier and rewarding in the long run.

Trusting the process and that the ebb and the flow are all part of the ‘grand design’ makes going with the flow a lot easier.

    Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you Yorinda. Life is ever so much easier when we go with the flow, rather that try to go cross stream or upstream or any other way at all. The photo is beautiful, i didn’t take it but I got it from a stock photo site. πŸ™‚

Thank you Michael. πŸ™‚ The idea of flowing with the energy of the world is so much more pleasant than fighting all the time. It really works a lot better for me. πŸ™‚

I so agree with you, Marty. Being resilient is one of the primary keys to being able to enjoy life. Knowing we are in the flow and loving the way our lives progress. πŸ™‚

Love the picture! The words are very inspirational. As I understand it in every trials that came in our life we must be strong. It is just like the river or sea it so calm and just passes through the path they encounter. We must also be the river or sea we can over come our trials in life.

So true, Chanikacha, the trials might come into our lives but we do not have to stand around resisting the flow of life. Everything passes through, and if we stand around trying to resist, we are going to get ground down. Much better for us to live in abundance of light and energy. πŸ™‚
