The way the Universe is set up, we pretty much get the results of our thoughts showing up in our lives. This is the basis for the idea of the Law of Attraction. What we think about consistently shows up for us.
Sometimes, though, things show up that we don't think that we have been thinking about. And that is always a mystery as to how they got there.
And sometimes, the things that we fear the most show up in our lives and then we have a tendency to start yelling at ourselves, beating up our hearts and our minds with that (usually) little voice that is always yammering around in there.
Well, quite frankly, that does not do you a lot of good if you want to change the results you are getting in your life.
The idea that you need to be beating yourself up for thinking about things that showed up is not a very useful idea. For sure, this kind of thing does show the process of thoughts becoming the things of your life to be a very valid one.
It’s just that it would be nice if we got things that made us feel wonderful instead of sad.
Inside of us, we all know that we create the things, interactions and events of our lives through our thoughts. We know this to be a fact and we see the evidence all around us on a daily basis. It just works, and what we would really like is to have this kind of power working all the time to bring us wondrous adventures in joyful living instead of dreary forced marches through the fragments of our hearts.
And that is where the power of conscious affirmations comes in.
Our lives are built on the power of affirmed thoughts. These are what we run our day to day existence on. And we have done it this way for so long that we actually do not remember any other way to do it.
Let’s take going to the movies as an example.
We sit at home and see that the Oscar show is going to be on TV. “How cool is this?” we think to ourselves, “I wonder what movies are going to win?”
So we arrange our day and evening so that when the appointed time comes we are in the living room, remote control in hand, ready for viewing. And it is quite a show. Lots of celebrities, excitement, interviews, speeches, altogether a lot of fun.
And then we watch as the Best Picture Oscar gets awarded and all of a sudden we think, “That would be cool to see that movie” So after the show is concluded, we go over to the computer to browse around online to see if we can find a theater where the movie is playing near us.
We find it, check out the show times, and start thinking of people who might like to go with us. We decide to ask a couple of our friends, and it winds up that we get together a small group of 5 for going to the movie and then out for a drink afterward.
That kind of little scenario is played out on a constant basis in our lives everyday.
- We think of something that we want to do
- Think about how it would feel to do that thing
- Set in motion the actions that are needed
to bring that idea from the realm of thought into the realm of physical reality.
We do this all the time.
We Think It Is A lot More Difficult
But for some reason, we think it is going to take extra effort or a miracle to get something into our lives that we really want. When in fact, this is how we get everything into our lives.
But if by chance there is something that when you first think about it, seems a tad more difficult to manifest, then it is time to bring in the exponential affirmations. We all use affirmations on a daily basis, just by living our lives, but if we want to increase the power of those thoughts, not just by doubling them or tripling them but by increasing their power exponentially, simply add one small idea to the process.
The Universe loves grateful people. True enough, the Universe loves everybody, but for some reason, grateful people seem to get more good stuff in their lives.
The feeling of gratitude is a way of super charging the power of your affirmations, whatever they might be. Although in this case, it would seem that gratitude would go better with things you really want rather than with things you don’t.
And you can be grateful right this very minute for something that might not show up physically for a while. And since all time is really
it works just as well to be grateful for something right now and see that thing show up in your physical life tomorrow.
As a matter of fact, gratitude is such a powerful accelerator of manifestation that once you see how strong the effect is of being grateful first, you will never try to manifest anything at all any other way. If you make visualization boards as a way of bringing things into your life, try thinking of them as gratitude boards.
As you are in the process of finding images to affix to the board, say something like this in your mind while you are searching for the perfect image.
“I am so grateful right now to be using this gratitude board to bring things into my life.”
Or “I am so grateful and excited for these beautiful new things in my life”
Or maybe, I am so grateful now that I realize that I have this in my life”
It might sound false at first, just an odd way of speaking that really can’t be of much value. But in fact, just saying the words makes that feeling true in a deep internal kind of way. And the more you say things like that, the more real they become.
If you can take the worry and the fear that you feel now about manifesting something into your life with gratitude and replace that with belief in being able to draw the very thing into your life that you want, your days will change forever.
Your entire life will become rooted in gratitude for the blessings you receive. And the more gratitude you express and feel, the more opportunities you will find to express that emotion.
Before I started to write this article today, I sat and thought about how grateful I was to be able to be sitting here at my computer putting these thoughts onto the screen and into reality.
And I am very grateful for you reading this today. Thank you.
Now it’s your turn.
Find something right now, no matter how small it is, to feel grateful for.
It is a peaceful and calming emotion that you have complete control over. You can quite honestly, spend your entire day being grateful. And wow, will your heart be filled to overflowing, or what.
Don’t say what.
